It was not pretty, but I am a MARATHONER!!! Now I can put that f-ing sticker on the back of my car and wear my medal ALL week. And if you think I’m kidding, I’m not.
The marathon was one of the absolute hardest things I have ever done, not because I wasn’t in shape enough or I wasn’t ready enough, but because of my stupid ankle that is bruised around the back and up the side. I took a million walk breaks and finished in 5 hours. Not what I wanted, but I finished!
I really want to say thank you to everyone for all the support I’ve been given, especially the support from my family, my fave and my friends. I could never have done this without you. The cheering, the signs, and the running partners were what made me complete my first marathon, and I could not be more thankful. Many times I thought, “I can’t do this, my ankle hurts too bad” but because of all the people out there I made it! And I love every one of you for everything you did.
Especially these gems that were plastered throughout the city- don’t worry, I was recognized by strangers at the bar after. I’m famous!
I’m classy. And I’m a marathoner!
